On Maybe I Should Not Buy This

I seem to always talk about Britney Spears, whose new album is coming out tomorrow. Will I buy it? Probably. Will I regret the decision? Yeah after I play the songs over and over. Apparently Rolling Stone gave the album good reviews.

I've always associated Britney Spears with my coming out experience. She has provided the soundtrack to what has been that journey and process of discovery. Too bad that many times her songs are associated with club music and the shiny, glittery aspects of identity. I think that's why I like her music-- its shallow enough for me not to not take it too seriously while I concentrate on my own life.
